This Privacy Policy explains how Nuclear Education Solutions (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use Nuclear Exam Prep at nuclearexamprep.com (the “Service”).

1. Information We Collect

Account information: your name (optional), email address, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.
Study activity: the quizzes you build and take, your answers and performance history, questions you flag or hide, and which explanations you view (used to understand which explanations are most helpful).
Billing information: your plan, subscription status, and a Stripe customer identifier. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card number.
Technical information: standard log data (such as IP address and browser type) and analytics data collected via cookies, described in Section 5.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide the Service: authentication, quiz history, performance dashboards, and plan enforcement.
To process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe.
To send transactional email, such as a welcome email when you sign up.
To understand aggregate usage of the Service and improve it.
To respond to support, refund, and privacy requests.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send third-party marketing.

3. AI and Your Data

Explanations on the Service are generated with the assistance of AI tools using only question content — your personal information and study activity are never sent to AI providers.

4. Third-Party Services

We share information with the following service providers only as needed to operate the Service:

Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing (Stripe privacy policy).
Google — optional Google sign-in, and Google Analytics for aggregate site usage statistics.
Brevo — delivery of transactional emails such as the welcome email.
MongoDB Atlas — our cloud database, where account and study data are stored.
Our hosting provider — serves the website and processes standard request logs.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or the Service.

5. Cookies

The Service uses two kinds of cookies:

Essential cookies — a session cookie that keeps you signed in. The Service does not work without it.
Analytics cookies — set by Google Analytics to help us understand aggregate site usage. You can block these with browser settings or extensions without affecting the Service.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account and study data while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing support@nuclearexamprep.com from the address on your account. We will complete deletion within 30 days, except for records we must keep for legal, tax, or billing-dispute purposes.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (TLS) and one-way password hashing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data using reasonable safeguards.

8. Children

The Service is intended for adults preparing for professional examinations and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and take reasonable steps to notify you, such as an email or an in-app notice.
